During a radio interview yesterday with Leland Conway on WLAP (Lexington, KY), Congressman John Boehner discussed the American peoples’ growing frustration with Washington Democrats’ jobs-killing agenda that includes a massive government takeover of health care, a national energy tax and a trillion dollar “stimulus” that isn’t creating jobs. Following are excerpts from the audio. To listen to the interview in its entirety, click here.
Boehner on Speaker Pelosi’s $1.3 trillion government takeover of health care
“Well I just think this is one of the more bizarre things I’ve seen in Washington over the 19 years I’ve been here. This giant bureaucracy is going to create 111 new programs and it will require tens of thousands of new federal employees. It is going to increase taxes, increase the national debt and increase insurance premiums for the American people who are already paying too much for their health insurance.”
Citing the rising national unemployment rate, Boehner says ‘stimulus’ isn’t working
“I couldn’t have had a nightmare as bad as this year has turned out to be. The stimulus bill was supposed to be about jobs, jobs, jobs, and it turned into nothing more than a big bunch of government spending that has done nothing to produce jobs. Remember the president said we wouldn’t see unemployment above 8 percent, now we are at 10.2 percent. He said we would have jobs immediately, yet more than 3 million Americans have lost their jobs since this bill was signed into law.”
Boehner says majority party is over-reaching with jobs-killing agenda
“They think this is their moment, a moment they’ve been waiting on for the past 30 or 40 years, to shove all of the big government programs into the government and stick the American people with them. Fortunately the American people are speaking up and saying

John:
SOS and Soros needs investigated, what is he up too and is it legal? The health care bill needs mentioned that WE THE PEOPLE DO NOT WANT A PUBLIC OPTION, that seems to have disappeared from debate. Everything the demos propose must be voted NO. They have hidden things embedded in these thousands of pages. The CZARS need to continue to be rebuked, they cannot have power and a shadow govt be built with Mao communists. I know your fight is hard, we the people are behind you. Thanks for what you are doing.

I just want to say Thank You for sticking to your guns and acting as a true conservative in your actions in DC. Pleaseimplore the national republican committee to offer up only true conservative candidates for election. I definitely feel that that is the way to regain control. People want a difference from what the other party offers. I hear this every day in my conversations at work etc and definitely felt that was why we lost the last presidential race

Mr Boehner: Thanks. Thanks for your continuing efforts toward Conservatism in government. In spite of the obfuscations and frustrations in congress you are steadfast and principled and my appreciation for your tireless efforts have to be the thoughts, even if unexpressed in written or vocal form, by thousands of informed Ohio voters.
I continue to print your E-Bulletins and pass them along to my computerless friends and neighbors. I encouraged other folks to do the same.

John, we need our President quit stalling his decision regarding our military actions. It's obvious why this is so important. Our troops need our support and it NOT forthcoming.
The President needs to be pressured to address this issue and not be traveling around giving campaign speeches, etc. (i.e. health care, energy, neeting with Asian leaders) that are much less priority or scrapped entirely in their present form.
Also, fundung should not be provided to bring any terrorists to New York for trials.
